Drive to Wadi Musa/Petra takes about 3 hours over much arid desert land from Madaba. Amazing view and sunsets. You can walk through the village of Wadi Musa and talk with Bedouin folks who live near Petra. We went to the Cave Bar, in Wadi Musa. The bar was an ancient family tomb, 2300 years old, you can still see the chambers in the walls, (which are now little alcoves with bar tables). They have great drinks with names like Petra Sheik, Wadi Mussa Grouge (god knows what it is?) and many others. The bartenders get the music blaring when the Arab songs come on, and all the men get out and dance, it's an awesome venue
